Wednesday Night Connect has ended for the summer.              See you in September.

Wednesday Night Connect is a chance for the entire family to spend a little time connecting with God’s people through bible studies, missional communities, social groups and a myriad of other ways.

Here is the basic evening schedule with the winter/spring classes listed below:

6.30pm: Arrival for dinner in the Fireside Room

7.00pm: Bible study and other activities begin

8.30pm: Bible study ends

8.45 pm: Kids must be picked up at the parsonage

Wednesday Night Connect Groups:

All groups or individuals are welcome to have dinner at 6:45 and meet from 7:00-8:30. If you are planning to do this, please contact Marla at 971.235.3543 or Norlene at 971.322.6864.

Cost of Discipleship

Description: This is a chapter by chapter study of Dietrich Bonheoffer’s classic book, The Cost of Discipleship. This book has transformed the lives of thousands. If you want to move beyond the weak-sauce vibe of cultural Christianity and venture into a deeper faith, join this group.

Marriage Works Book Study

Duration: January 25—April 26 (every other week)

  • January 25: Introduction, overview and icebreaker…what to expect, etc.
  • February 8: Service – Marriage Isn’t about You, Chapters 1&2 (M.o.M.)
  • February 22: Covenant – Created to Make Promises, Chapters 3&5 (M.o.M.)
  • March 8: Roles – Loving through mutual submission, Chapter 6 (M.o.M.)
  • March 22: Singleness – Strengthening the Spiritual Family, Chapter 7 (M.o.M.)
  • April 12: Sex: The Act of Covenant Renewal, Chapter 8 (M.o.M.)
  • April 26: Hope – Seeing the Great Horizon, Chapter 4 (M.o.M.)

Description: Study offers instruction on how to have a successful marriage. “Modern culture would have you believe that everyone has a soul mate; that romance is the most important part of a successful marriage; that your spouse is there to help you realize your potential; that marriage does not mean forever, but merely for now; and that starting over after a divorce is the best solution to seemingly intractable marriage issues. But these modern-day assumptions are wrong.”

Missional Community Group (Youth Ministry focus)

Description: Join youth pastors James and Marie for fellowship and a missional focus on the youth of Yamhill-Carlton. If you have a heart for the youth, then this group is for you!

Study of the End Times

Location: The Bistro (YCC Sanctuary)

Description: Join Pastor Duane for an interactive, verse-by-verse Bible study starting with 1      Timothy. If you love dynamic discussions and the Word of God, this group is for you!

Women’s Bible Study

Location: Home of Linda Robbins (115 S. Spruce Street, Yamhill)

Description: Ongoing bible studies, usually about six-weeks each. All women are welcome to join at any point. Lead by Ramona, and if you have questions, contact her at 503.550.1558.
