We Serve Globally

Intentionally reaching the Nations

In Mark 16:15, Jesus offered clear instructions to His followers, “Go into all the world and proclaim the Gospel to the whole creation.” Today, we stand boldly, under His grace as His disciples, and we recognize that these words are as valid for us as they were for the initial 12. To that end, we strive to bridge that gap with fellow believers across this earth who are taking that good news to those who otherwise would be far from it.

North India Missions

North India is a region where there are many difficulties for Christian work, including persecution of Christian workers which sometimes comes from governmental authorities. Therefore, this page does not contain specific names of people or locations in North India for security reasons.

Yamhill Christian Church supports a small training school/Bible College and an associated network of church planters.

The school is the only training school for Christian workers in an area of about 4 million people. Only about 1 out of every 250-300 people in this population is a Christian believer of some kind, and in many communities of the region the proportion of Christians is much less than that. In fact some towns, villages, and rural areas have no known Christians at all. Furthermore, many of the Christians are Christians in name only or are associated with groups that make a practice of not reaching out to unbelievers with the Gospel of Christ.

Through a friend of a YCC member, we were introduced to the founding director of the school, and YCC leaders have visited the school twice and have developed in-depth relationships with the school’s staff and the church planting network.

The training school/Bible College usually has 10-15 students studying for up to three years. Terms of classroom study are interspersed with periods of concentrated practical ministry. YCC and its members provide over 90% of the funding for this school.

In the church planting network there have been four workers. Two workers supported by a YCC family have worked in a difficult area. The two church planters which are supported by YCC have already developed multiple church groups in lowland villages. Most of these church groups meet at homes although a couple of them are large enough to require a larger rented space.

Much more detailed information about YCC’s North India Mission is available by contacting Ken Watson. If you wish to contribute financially to this ministry, Ken can tell you how.
