We Serve Locally

Reaching Yamhill, Oregon and the Nation

We are a body of believers who recognize the command to reach our Community, State, and Nation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is an honor to serve our Savior as His ambassadors. The partners that you see below are more than people or organizations we support financially. They are brothers and sisters in Christ that we support intentionally.

Jim Ramos

In June 2012, Jim and Shanna Ramos launched—totally on faith—a non-profit ministry for men titled The Great Hunt for God.  In 2017, they had the name legally changed to Men in the Arena (MITA) to better align with their vision, “Trusting Jesus Christ to build an army of men who are becoming the best version of themselves in Christ and changing their world (because when a man gets it—everyone wins!).

Since their 2012 McMinnville, Oregon launch, Men in the Arena has published nine books for men, has nearly 10,000 men interacting on their Men in the Arena Facebook and Website forums, has their MITA curriculum  being used from Oregon to Zambia, Africa, thousands subscribed to Jim’s weekly blog, and the Men in the Arena podcast has been downloaded over 100,000 times by men from around the world.

We are so blessed to have Jim and Shanna as part of the YCC family. Visit them at Men in the Arena www.meninthearena.org and grab the FREE electronic version of Jim’s 365 Bathroom Book for Men.

Connie Sitton

We began supporting Connie Sitton decades ago when she was preparing for cross-cultural ministry with CRU, formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ. She served 18 years in Nigeria as a disciple trainer in what was a volatile religious and social situation. Upon returning to the States she took up a position at CRU headquarters, Orlando FL, screening & selecting workers for cross-cultural ministries. She now screens and selects applicants for Headquarter positions that provide oversight of this large & multi-faceted organization. Connie and her HR team know the importance of having “the right people in the right place at the right time.”

Jason and Sarah Koppen

We support Jason and Sarah Koppen who serve at Indian Bible College. Jason grew up in Yamhill and Sarah grew up in Newberg. Jason is currently the college president and Sarah assists him in his work. Their vision for the Bible College is not only on education, but on the transformation of lives. Most of the students who attend Indian Bible College operate in two worlds–Anglo and Native American. The Koppens see the college as a catalyst for helping send Native American missionaries throughout the world.
